Singapore

This modern Persian restaurant at Clarke Quay reinterprets tradition with a sleek, contemporary edge. Inspired by classic Persian architecture, the design features natural tones, clean lines, and an open kitchen showcasing a dynamic kebab display.

Islamic-style archways define the space, creating three distinct areas. To the right, the open kitchen invites diners into the culinary experience, while an intimate bar on the left offers a warm, atmospheric retreat. At the heart of the restaurant, the main dining area is enriched with recessed niches displaying curated Middle Eastern artifacts, blending authenticity with modern sophistication.

Restaurant B

Cape Town, South Africa

The conceptual interior design for the refurbishment of a 25-year-old upmarket steakhouse in the heart of Cape Town.

The brief required working within a warehouse-style space constructed with i-beams and an industrial exposed soffit. The existing mechanical fittings and wine storage gantries were preserved.

The design inspiration is the quintessential Art Deco New York-style bistro. The focus of the space is the 5-meter long bar clad in copper sheeting, matt-bronze rails, and with a white quartz countertop.

Finishes include herringbone solid oak flooring with white mosaic tile trims, copper, bronze, and leather in muted colours, creating a minimal yet refined space.
