The complete architectural and interior design of a 48m, two-masted luxury Phinisi wooden sailboat featuring 7 en-suite luxury cabins.

 

The design of Celestia blends traditional boat-building traditions with sophisticated design. While the yacht’s exterior reflects the centuries-old shipbuilding traditions, the interior fuses old-world elegance and understated ease.

 

The interior finishes are a celebration of Indonesian art forms, with a carefully curated selection of local finishes and furniture in a colour palette comprising of soft blues and earthy tones, complemented by brass accents.

 

The interior design is rooted in quiet sophistication, drawing upon the romance of old-world glamour.​

Dunia Baru

Bali, Indonesia

A refurbishment of a 51m, two-masted luxury yacht handcrafted in the classic architecture of a Phinisi wooden sailboat. Built of teak and ulin ironwood, Dunia Baru features seven en-suite cabins accommodating 14 guests.

Rather than make significant structural alterations, the design intention was to create a luxurious experience that evokes a sense of nostalgia and to create an understated yet modern elegance.

The interior design is a subtle and sophisticated enhancement of an already beautiful ship. The spaces are personal, creating an authentic and intimate experience for the guests.

A selection of neutral and light colours complements the yacht’s dark interiors and timber cladding. The interior finishes and stylishly honour Dunia Baru’s traditional themes.

KTU Yacht

Batam, Indonesia

The interior design of this 75m Phinisi-style yacht embodies a seamless blend of craftsmanship, understated elegance, and meticulous attention to detail. Designed to offer both exclusivity and tranquility, the yacht features a 95 sqm master suite, five 50 sqm guest suites, a spa and wellness retreat, a gym, an outdoor bar and jacuzzi, and a watersports center, all thoughtfully integrated to enhance the guest experience.

 

Inspired by traditional Phinisi yachts, the design reinterprets their essence through natural materials, soft linens, and handcrafted details, creating a refined yet unpretentious ambiance. Every space fosters a deep connection with the surrounding seascape, ensuring that luxury is defined not by excess, but by purity, balance, and a sense of place. This project aspires to create a floating sanctuary, where simplicity and sophistication coexist in perfect harmony.

Amandira

Moyo, Indonesia

The interior design of the custom-built, 52-metre, two-masted Phinisi yacht for charter as part of the Amanwana Resort on the island of Moyo.

 

The design combines the allure of a traditional Indonesian sailing vessel with the comfort of modern amenities in keeping with the Aman luxury brand.

The elegant indoor lounge and dining saloon is fitted out in neutral tones and understated decor, typical of Amanresorts’ signature aesthetic.

Tucked away at the rear is the master cabin with a private deck area featuring an oversized daybed. Two luxury guest cabins and two smaller bunk cabins are below the deck. Each double cabin features a living area with a daybed and a spacious bathroom with a shower and twin vanities.
